Privacy Policy
The short version. We collect the voice recording you upload, the stories you create, and the minimum needed to run an account and a subscription. Your voice is used only to narrate your own stories. We do not sell data, we do not use your voice to train shared models, and we do not show ads.
1. What we collect
- Account. An identifier from Sign in with Apple and an email address (which may be Apple’s private relay address). We never receive your Apple password.
- Voice recording. The audio you record to create a voice, plus a derived speaking-rate measurement used to estimate story length.
- Child profile. A name or nickname and an age range, if you choose to add one. This is used to address the child in a story and to pick age-appropriate text. You do not have to use a real name.
- Stories and audio. The text you write or generate, and the audio files produced from it.
- Usage records. When audio was generated and how many minutes it was, so we can apply the daily allowance.
- Subscription state. Received from Apple: product, transaction identifier, expiry and status. We never receive your payment card details.
- Technical logs. Request and error logs needed to operate and debug the service.
2. What we do with it
We use the data to provide the service you asked for: to build a voice from your recording, to narrate stories with it, to enforce the daily allowance, and to support you when something goes wrong. We do not use your voice or your stories to train models that serve other users.
3. Who else processes it
- Apple — sign-in and subscription handling.
- Cloud infrastructure and object storage providers — hosting the service and storing audio.
- GPU compute providers — speech synthesis runs on rented GPU machines. Audio and voice references are transferred to a machine for the duration of a render and removed when it is released.
- An AI text provider — the prompt you type is sent to generate a story when you use that feature.
None of these are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
4. Children
Nini is for parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children, and the app is not directed at children for account creation. The only child-related data we hold is what a parent chooses to enter in a child profile, and a nickname is enough. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
5. How long we keep it
- Voice recordings and generated audio: until you delete them or delete your account.
- Usage records: retained while the account exists, because they are the basis of the allowance and of billing disputes.
- Technical logs: a short operational period, then discarded.
- After account deletion: recordings and audio are removed; residual backups are overwritten on their normal rotation.
6. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data. Voice deletion and account deletion are available in the app; for anything else, write to us and we will respond. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to processing or to complain to a data protection authority.
7. Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Audio objects are served through short-lived signed URLs rather than public links. Access to production systems is restricted.
8. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.

- 故事与音频。你写下或生成的文本，以及由它产出的音频文件。
- 用量记录。音频何时生成、多少分钟，用于执行每日额度。
- 订阅状态。由 Apple 提供：产品、交易标识、到期时间与状态。 我们从不接触你的支付卡信息。
- 技术日志。运行与排障所需的请求与错误日志。
2. 我们拿它做什么
只用于提供你要求的服务：从录音建出音色、用它讲故事、执行每日额度、 以及在出问题时为你排查。我们不用你的声音或你的故事去训练服务于其他用户的模型。
3. 还有谁会处理它
- Apple —— 登录与订阅处理。
- 云基础设施与对象存储提供商 —— 托管服务、存放音频。
- GPU 算力提供商 —— 语音合成跑在租用的 GPU 机器上。 音频与音色参考在一次渲染期间传输到那台机器，机器归还时移除。
- AI 文本提供商 —— 使用该功能时，你输入的想法会被发送以生成故事。
以上各方均不得将你的数据用于其自身目的。
4. 关于儿童
呢喃面向家长与监护人。我们不会在知情的情况下直接向儿童收集个人数据， 应用的账号创建流程也不面向儿童。我们持有的唯一与儿童相关的数据， 是家长选择在孩子档案里填写的内容，而一个昵称就够了。 若你认为有儿童创建了账号，请联系我们，我们会删除它。
5. 保留多久
- 语音录音与已生成音频：直到你删除它们或删除账号。
- 用量记录：账号存续期间保留，因为它是额度与计费争议的依据。
- 技术日志：短期运维周期后丢弃。
- 账号删除后：录音与音频被移除；残留备份在其常规轮转中被覆盖。
6. 你的权利
你可以访问、更正、导出或删除你的数据。音色删除与账号删除在应用内可用； 其余事项来信即可，我们会回复。视你所在地区，你可能还有权反对处理， 或向数据保护机构投诉。
7. 安全
传输过程加密。音频对象通过短时效签名链接提供，而不是公开链接。 生产系统的访问受限。
8. 变更
若变更对你有实质影响，我们会在生效前于应用内告知。
